I love poppers and try everything that comes out for 1/4 oz the Zell Pop R are my favorite, Rio is second.

Re: Pixy Question: Airy Red for Ned?

Just picked up a Presso I hope to BFS with. I added a Airy Red spool to my PX Type R this winter and put in on my Super Eiger, but not planning on going any lighter than 1/4 oz with it.

Re: 6.3:1

I fish 6.3:1 a lot, pretty much all my moving baits except deep cranks. I have more 6.3:1 reels than the faster rations. I like the faster ratios for bottom contact especial went I am target fishing.

Another Zillion fan. I use an IP 68. The 6.8:1 gears are plenty fast.

Re: Super Problem with the Super Rekkai

I currently have a Zillion HLC on mine, have tried a Steez and Zonda and all feel good on the rod. The rod is so light the smaller reels balance well. You got to try swimjigs.

A reel labeled Steez shouldn't have bushings, blasphemy. Appreciate the pre review Cal.

Re: Swim Jig Rod*

Sorry, I do not get emails when people reply to my posts for some reason. Anyways, I it's just the regular Tatula 7'2 MH. I opted of paying high dollar for this technique specifically. I'm familiar with G Loomis rods myself, so given the nature of their blanks compared to the Tatula, I am hoping it...

Re: Swim Jig Rod*

I use the same rods for swimbaits as I spinnerbaits. Mostly MF, but I don't think a fast action is to stiff for either. Unless you're having a problem with what you like, don't over think it. I like M/F actions for almost all applications except bottom contact.

When the 2500C came out it was a perfect fit for the new graphite rods. Let us see the 2500C when you finish. The 1500C is awesome, great work.
