IE a softer tip on a fast rod would have lower lure ratings (3/8-2oz) vs a fast rod with a stiff tip (5/8 - 2oz). Assuming all other things being equal. So then following all the great logic here, then a soft tip is better for cranks than a fast tip given the same action? You're still mixing it up. A rod can have a fast tip that is soft or stiff. "Fast" is used to describe the action/taper. You cant' tell if a rod has a soft tip or not ba...

I have a few of these and haven't had a problem with that center blade. It does crash into the blades on the sides every now and then causing the bait to foul momentarily, but then it usually snaps back into place and works just fine. The momentary, intermittent fouling is actually a good thing.

I've not handled that model, but given the two we reviewed both had good weight and balance, it's safe to assume the model you're interested in will be the same.
