Or it could be that the reel has only been out a few weeks, and maybe hasn't reached the hands for testing? I'm a Daiwa fan. I own safew SV103 reels. They are amazing casters. The Chronarch MGL is also a very good casting reel. They are both very smooth. The only thing I don't care for is the non m...

Probably not. May have been shorter just to shave a very small bit of weight.

No. On the Shimano reels for instance, this is just a part of the "clicking" mechanism.

Re: Core 51 Mg7 and Aldebaran 51 Mg7

They are the same exact reel. I think the spool bearings might be different. Do a clean and relive.

Re: Reel re-assembling

The fact that the drag star is sprung on so many of these reels makes it hard to pull it down so that it reaches its stop - so that the handle can sit on the bevelled part of the handle shaft. Ive seen some Shimano clicking washers for the drag star completely fubar'd due to people putting the hand...

Re: TD-Z Spool Tension Issue

The spool tension shouldn't move unless you are accidentally moving it when reeling in. There is no "click" to the knob, so you might not realize you are doing it.

Re: Zero adjuster

You really shouldnt have to adjust the CC until the spool doesnt over run. That is what your brakes are for. People misuse the CC for what its really for. Just to keep side to side play out of the spool. Utilize the braking system, thats what they are there for. Any schmo can turn all their brakes o...

Everything that fits a TD Zillion fits the SV103. Only thing is the Cast control cap is different.
