Re: Daiwa T3 Spool Pin Shorter?

Everything seems normal, I could disengage and engage the clutch fine. Hopefully it's a non issue.

Daiwa T3 Spool Pin Shorter?

I was looking at my T3SV yesterday and I noticed that the spool pin is shorter than my other reels. I also noticed this on the RCS SV1000 deep spool that I bought last year for the Luna 103. When I changed out the spool bearing I added a longer spool pin. Would this cause any damage to the pinion in...

Re: Daiwa and Yamamoto Collaboration

I understand that some new Daiwa/Yamamoto products were introduced at the Classic but I cant find a dang thing about them other than the Project T video 9 and 10. My Daiwa contact says that they should be in dealers within the next couple of weeks. I am really interested in the Neko Fat 5, as it ap...

Re: Zero adjuster

Does this mainly apply to SV spool equipped reels? How about regular Magforce Z reels?

Re: zillion tws 1516 ?

The JDM Zillion TWS 1516 is based on the first gen Tatula frame but with dual bearing support pinion and free floating spool. It has all CRBBs and a Magsealed bearing. Basically the USDM Zillion HD but with a 90mm handle. The Zillion HD is based on the Zillion TWS. The spool is probably different on...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

I weighed the Alphas spool last night. 10g with bearing. Heavier than I expected. I was hoping for around 9g.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

Just got in my DIY Alphas spool. My initial impression is that the quality is pretty good. Can't wait to give it a spin. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e24/Tony9982/Mobile%20Uploads/PSX_20170314_190922_zpst360ga9z.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e24/Tony9982/Mobile%20Uploads/PSX_20170314_19...

Its also nice having both right and left handed reels, it reduces the wear and tear on 1 wrist, especially if you pitch a lot.

Yep, I agree. They sure are nice. Really smooth too!

Re: Shimano SVS Brakes

I never realized they included a different size backup brake set. I knew Shimano set extra blocks, but that is very interesting that they send different sized ones... I think having 2 red and 2 white makes the most sense, most people run 2 on/2 off right??? That way you have 2 different 2on/2off pr...

Re: Shimano SVS Brakes

I just set up my 15 Conquest with 2 white brake blocks. It has less surface area and was curious what the braking profile would be like vs the red ones. I haven't had this reel long and only took it on one outing where I had 2 red blocks on. I set the tension knob kind of loose and was able to easil...

Shimano SVS Brakes

Just wondering if there is a major difference between setting the brake blocks at 12 and 3 o'clock vs 12 and 6.

My newest addition. Picked up another one in 6.3 before they're gone forever. Thanks to Gary @ The Tackle Trap for hooking me up and the quick shipping!
