icast reel maybe

Postby shimanogloomis man » Tue Jun 25, 2013 7:25 am

I was on bbc and saw this post Bantam1 is this accurate? also Dan said its going to be black \:D/

""" I was just at the Bassmaster elite tourney at lacrosse and asked about the new shimano chronarchs. Luckly the shimano rep showed me the new chronarchs. I was able to cast and feel the new chronarchs on a rod. The new breaking system seems wicked with a central cylinder type breaking almost like a mgx or gen3 premier. The frame is 1 piece carbon ci material. Color is grey with little red outline. Reel weighed in about 6oz. So it basically looks like a core. Sweet deal though shimano rep said price will be around $250."""

I had one there for some people to use. Maybe 10-12 people got a sneak peek at the reel. It was not a final sample and still in prototype form. Everyone that made casts with the reel were impressed.

I see you gave no specific details, are we going to have to wait all the way until ICAST to get them, or maybe a little sooner?

You have to wait for ICAST. We did not give specific details to the anglers that got to play with the reel. We described it briefly but nothing too specific.

Zona just posted a YouTube video describing the new Chronarch CI4+. Not many details at all but a look at it anyway...

I had a feeling this is the direction Shimano was going to pursue ..... too bad! I guess I'll be holding on to my D7's.

I can’t wait to get my hands on one and if they’re as advertised I might even buy 2 or 3 of them.
