G Loomis IMX-PRO

Postby joekaz » Tue Feb 28, 2017 9:48 am

There is an add for the IMX-PRO in the March B.A.S.S. Times. Also the Shimano Exage rods. I assume these are Classic release rods.

Don't know about the IMX-PRO. The Exage has already been released and is at most retail outlets now.

Any idea if the IMX-Pro are bass rods or are they like their saltwater Pro Blue and Pro Green rods?

They are technique specific bass rods. The rods in the ad are full grip. Sorry, I don't know how to post pics.

Sounds interesting.

Just saw that Land Big Fish has the IMX for 25% off.

IMX-PRO are up on The Tackle Trap website guys... I haven't handled these rods yet so I can't comment on performance, etc. at this time.

for the love of God I hope the drop shot models come with a hook keeper. people get pissed off when they spend $350 for a rod that they order online and it shows up with no hook keeper...drop shot or not..come on Loomis get with the program.

And how is this different from the current IMX? Is this just a marketing move? Will the regular IMX remain as it has been a staple for the last 30 years? Thanks.

I am not a fan of the newer IMX; and these brand new ones don't look too great. Now, the new GLX I love and I am trying to redo my arsenal with them if I can swing it.
