NRX Inshore 921/922s MR

Postby Farnorth » Mon Mar 06, 2017 1:00 pm

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the NRX inshore spinning models? I am hoping someone might be able to compare the 921s MR to the bass 902s which is rated similarly. I think the 922s MR might be the one I am looking for but can't find any reliable reviews at all.

I am looking to find a long spinning rod for SLOW dragging a 1/4 -3/8 jig head/plastic with a light wire hook, likely using braid with a 6-8lb fluoro leader. Pretty sure I want to try an NRX as I haven't had one. The 873 crr would be right if it was spinning and a little longer. I am looking to get the longest casts I can straight into the wind and am just not good enough with a baitcaster to achieve the results I want.

Thanks for looking.

The nrx's that I've used aren't good distance casters.
901 902 852
Same reel same line. Tailwalk Taigame tz and 7'6 steez ags casted further with the same baits.

I looked into the inshore before i bought the "still not in the friggin catalog" 7'6 steez ags...but I think the extra length was in the rear grip.

The tailwalk has the best laid out guide train out of any factory rod I've ever owned.
The nrx spinners........as sensitive as they are.......they don't cast all that well.
The steez if laid out like the tailwalk...would cast even better.
