TT server upgrade and enhancements

Postby JIP » Tue Dec 26, 2006 10:44 pm

Happy holidays everyone!

For 2007 we are going to make TT even better
for everyone by doing various things such as server upgrades,
implement additional features, add more angler resources,
and much more.

We don't expect much downtime at all, and if there are it should
only affect http://www.tackletour.com
The forum will remain fully functional during our upgrades and enhancements.

Thanks and enjoy the holidays!!!

Hi Jip,

I've changed my bookmarks already, but there appear to be some problems, although you did say it's changing, not changed.

I browse the forum by clicking on the new posts link at the top right, it find them, then spits them back at me, I never drill down into the individual forums, until today, when, after I changed the link in my favorites, the forum kept stating that there were no new posts. I didn't believe that everyone just up and went away, so i went back to the old dealtackler url, and sure enough, folks had been posting all night!

Upon further inspection, this thread isn't even in the new url, I had to revert to the old one to find it to bring this to your attention. I only do so as it might be a problem when you do swap the names around, I'd hate to see some stuff lost! Either way, I'll go back to dealtackler :)

Yeah, the new link isn't active yet. If this current forum link stop working then you know it's time to start using the new one. ;)

Bear with us guys. We are on the new server already but it takes a little time for the change to make its way through all the worlds servers. Performance may be spotty for the next 48 hours but once it has fully propegated the site shoudl be faster than ever.

Is it just me or do y'all have to play close attention to how we click to open any page? I keep getting a "Service Temporarily Unavailable" on any and all clicks... :( This happens on two different PCs.

It is working much better now. I can't remember the last time I got an error! Everything seems to loading fine as well.

In fact I would have to say we are back to 100% operational.

For the past 3 days I couldn't access the forum. I just kept getting "The page cannot be found" message. It felt like I'd lost a limb, or at least a digit. This forum is ths best that there is, and has been a great help to me since I joined. Glad that it's all back up and running.
