I just noticed TT Lake Maps.

Is this new or am I not paying enough attention?
Either way it's a great idea.
How does it work? Do we send you guys maps or are you just obtaining them on your own little by little?

I don't know how you find it helpful unless you live in 2 of the 50 states.

The State of Ohio has some very basic and very antiquated maps on their homepage: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/wildlife/Fis ... /lmaps.htm

I have not found them to be anything but frustrating. If I had the $129 I might buy the "hotspots" DVD, but I'd need to know when they were updated. For all I know there haven't been any bathymetric studies done in Ohio in MANY years.

FYI Montana has a place called McGregor Lake. The local lodge (same name) had a real bathymetric study done. I don't know if it's available electronically, but the printout is really cheap if anyone has a hankerin for some monster lake trout (let me know, I can tell you some spots for ice fishing or from the bank). Also I have a few friends who charter out on Flathead lake who were doing their own maps. Drop me a line if you need a guide for lakers there also.

What can we get from the USGS under the freedom of information act? I know tons of studies of the Great Lakes are available.

NM, found them :)

I do something similar for the lakes around here that my club fishes, they're pretty popular pages, even though my information is pretty minimal.
