Re: Shallow spinning reel spools. Help a brother understand.

The Japanese market is full of shallow spool spinning reels because they do a lot of finesse fishing there. Here in the USA, most people still want reels that hold 10,000 yards of line. Not sure why, because most of that line never sees water. Shimano and Daiwa has gotten away from the 750 size beca...

Re: Conquest Md

Will the spool tension knob not loosen up, so the spool will have alittle play?

Re: Which Vanquish for Megabass P5 LANDSAT

I vote any of the 2500 size.
Vanquish is a great reel.
The Daiwa Airity is a great color match for the Megabass P5.
The Airity is also a great choice.

Re: Shimano Expride Thoughts??

Does anyone have the new Expride B 6’10 M who previously had the old one. I have a couple of Expride B’s and was all set to buy the 6’10, but I’ve read on other forums that the new model is stiffer and not as good for jerkbaits. Can anyone weigh in? The B model is stiffer but still a good jerkbait ...

Re: Daiwa exist 2022

I have 22 Stella in 1000 and 2000S sizes. Also have 22 Exist in 2000SPG and 2000S. I prefer the stella's for straight retrieve lures and Exist for bottom contact techniques. Stella is heavier but I think that adds to the smoothness of the retrieve when winding in lures. The Exist are okay but I had ...

Re: 22 Stella Question - My experience disappointing so far

There is probably something over tightened or something else not lined up properly. I would definitely return it or have shimano look at it. I purchased a size 1000 last year and had to return it. The rotor didn't even want to spin properly on it. My first shimano return ever, and it was a stella. T...

Re: 2023 Vanquish

This is pretty normal for all spinning reels.
From piscifun to stella's. All my spinning reels have slight play in the spool.

Re: Any Panfish Enthusiast On TackleTour?

Thanks for explaining.
I've never owned a solid tip before.
I've heard they weren't as sensitive because the softer tip dampens some of the vibrations. That's one reason, I've never been too interested in trying one.

Re: Any Panfish Enthusiast On TackleTour?

https://i.postimg.cc/bvs06rp3/IMG-4234.jpg John G, what rod are you using? It's a Shimano Poison Glorious 5'10"UL-S with a Shimano Twin Power C2000SHG. The S is for a Solid Tip. I realized that after I ordered it and I tried to get a refund from Japan Angler but I was told that it had already been ...

Re: Tenryu Lunakia LK752S-MMHT vs. Megabass Destroyer P5 7'2" Baby Plugging

I have the baby plugging and it's a decent light action rod. I have it paired up with a daiwa Luvius airity FC2500S. Took me a little bit to get use to the small handle though, but now I like it. I've tried it for light drop shots, 2.5 gram jigs, light shakey heads and small crankbaits. It has enoug...

Re: 2023 Vanquish

I dont have an Exsence, but I have 18, 22 Stella and 19 Vanquish. Stella is good for straight retrieve lures like crankbaits and spinners. Vanquish is good for stop and go lures like jigs and other small soft plastics. I'll grab the 23 Vanquish once it becomes available. I'm hoping is even better th...

Re: 23 Airity coming soon

Received my 23 Airty 2000S-P from digitaka the other day. Put a megabass hypercork knob on it. Paired it up with a P5 babyplugging. The color matches up nicely. Will try it out with small soft plastics. Too be honest, doesn't feel much different from the 21 Luvius airity. It is lighter in weight tho...

Re: Zodias vs. Expride B

If you have an Expride already, you'll probably be disappointed with the Zodias. Zodias is cheaper but also slightly heavier, not as sensitive and not as crisp in the hands. Every time i tried a Zodias rod, I always ended up getting rid of it. Just stick with the Expride or move up to the Poison adr...
