Re: Spinning reel for lighter crank and jerkbaits
Firstly, bear in mind that Daiwa 3000/4000 LT and Real Four sized spools graduate to larger diameters. Shimano 2500/3000 are essentially that same diameter, with the 3000 having a deeper spool and larger gears. I would vote for something like the Daiwa Certate 3000S CH-Double Handle, it is very smoo...

I have a micro split ring pair of pliers I picked up from Barlow's. Janns netcraft will also have versions of split ring pliers.

Re: Underestimated Lures (or Unappreciated)
Laughed and thought of this thread scrolling through TW... They have a Banjo Minnow kit for $40, maybe they are making a comeback or underappreciated??? Lol LMAO. Rapala Floating minnows are very underappreciated in today's world with so many lure options that are floating/sub surface, it is regula...

Re: 13Fishing Jabber Jaw cranks and El Diablo lipless cranks
I am very curious as well about the El Diablo lipless as the prices were discounted and the bait look excellent. I ended up getting 20 Spro Aruku Shad in both 60 and a few 70 sizes, for $100 from a private seller. It was a solid deal on a proven lipless at that price.

Spro Aruku Shad mean eye
Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Spro Aruku with the round eyes versus the current ones with the flat line top eye (that looks angry)?
I suppose the round eye ones were an earlier run, I have a couple NIP that have Roland Martin on the back of the pkg.

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors
If that is a new Calcutta...it doesn't look much different than the current generation, and also there is no mention of MM gears?

Re: Finesse/BFS reel for distance casting?
My guess is that a lot of fishing line manufacturers do not provide accurate diameter specs for their various rated lines, especially with braid.

Re: Ordering Phenix X12 spinning rod
I was too in the market for that rod, I messaged Phenix about it on instagram a while back and they told me that it would be in stock in a few weeks but that was months ago now and its still been out of stock since then. Whelp that sux...it is a truly unique spinning rod with nothing else in the ma...

Re: Finesse/BFS reel for distance casting?
Also, "15 lb braid" is a broad statement. The 40lb YGK X8 UPGRADE is as thin or thinner than many other 20 lb braid out there and holds excellent body and form for casting. The SS112 is even more consistent body form and also casts great and is slick, but it is not quiet through the guides as the X8...

Re: Finesse/BFS reel for distance casting?
I received a Ray's BFS SV deep spool for my Gekkabijin this past Monday and have put it to the test a couple of times. I have a feeling eventually, I'll buy the deep spool. Thanks for the info. I put it off for several months, placing ISO/WTB ads on a few sites, but no dice. Then it took roughly th...
