Re: Extra Long Dropshot Rod
Megabass Destroyer Brigand is another option here, one I've been using this summer for various applications.

Re: Punching Rods....Help me find the one.
Megabass Black Jungle Punching & Swimbait. Has the more moderate action for punching and more power than you'll know what to do with. When the covers thick thats the rod I reach for no questions asked. It is THE punch rod. For lighter duty I've been a huge fan of the Unlimited Rods Punchshot-HD. A ...

Re: ZPI Spool differences
Any idea about the standard two small hole ported spools vs the 8 larger hole ported spool like the legend blue 002 I posted? Just variation in when they are built. ZPI didn't hold fast to many standards with these spools. Weight is all over the board with them as well just due to paint thickness.

Re: ZPI Spool differences
Standard model spools are non "S" models. Early in the run all the inductors were silver and non were S models, all had standard SS bearings. At a point in time they changed the inductor color to gold. This was mostly seen on Millionaire 201/202 spools. Oddly enough silver inductors were still offer...

Re: Designo leben and vantage
Do you cast while palming your reel or do you adjust your hand to palm after casting? With this style you are constantly palming it and just sliding your thumb. Its much more ergonomical and efficient imo. That fact you palm it the whole time makes it awkward to overhand cast. I cast and pitch "nor...

Re: Designo leben and vantage
The Slangs are big bait sticks. Designo makes fantastic rods. Subtle builds and crisp blanks. Unlimited rods are built with Designo blanks as were Evergreens for awhile. https://i.postimg.cc/d1DG0Xvx/20190406_113931.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/gkYYYSjZ/20190609-064014.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/5ymbBv7y...

Re: Next Gen MB Destroyer (Laiha)?
Looks like its purchase requirements are similar to how some exotic cars are. Examination criteria for new technology tester rights and purchase rights 1. Have one or more of ARMS, Heritage, or ITO Speciale. 2. Have a total of at least two of the successive Evolzion Valkyrie or Pagani series 3. Hav...

Re: Megabass rods
I have over 30 MB rods currently and have sold a dozen more and only had two breakages. Both my fault. XX Amart Flipping Specials, one was a fish ripped over the boat that broke the rod as it came down behind me, the other was jammed into brush as I was motoring in to get a stuck fish in a tournamen...

Re: Daiwa Z: Times Have Changed
Swimbaits for me, too heavy really for consistent use in much else. I wouldnt say the Bantam MGL is a replacement, but its a nice reel in its own.

Re: Budget TDZ builds
Driveshafts are a tough source for TD-Z's now. You're more than likely going to need to find someone to cut, drill, and tap them to accept a Steez bolt. It's an upgrade over the stock setup as well, much more durable. As for budget, theres nothing budget about a TD-Z build  Drags need to be car...

Re: Curado 100D Is it worth keeping
The D series is arguably one of the best iterations of the Curado. I'd keep it. I myself am a complete Daiwa junky, yet I still have my Curado 201DPV.
