Re: JDM Outside Weight Crank

OSP Blitz Appreciate it Cal. I hated to ask such a simple question, but could NOT find out what brand it was. For some reason I thought it was deps or Evergreen. Either way I'd still be excited to hear what anyone had experienced with the US SPRO version or the JDM. They are quite the pricey crankb...

JDM Outside Weight Crank

Simple question, what are the SPRO Outsider Cranks based off of? I feel like there is a JDM brand that had a similar design...

Re: 16 Daiwa Zillion SV TW

Hey guys, Are these reels still viable today? or is there better for the money?. I'm eyeballing one for about $210CAD. I can't seem to find many worth while reviews on them. Anyone who owns these have any input? How do they compare to the Alphas 800? What are the Shimano "comparables"? Figured I'd ...

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors

I would love to see some fresh colors, I agree that gunmetal/black/silver has become a new standard. I agree with the previous comment too, would love to see a new Millionaire, but it seems round reels might be phasing out. I would be tempted to just get another Conquest 100HG.

2024 Releases/Rumors

Just like to hear what anyone has heard or suspects to come out this coming year. I know a lot of anglers expected a new Metanium DC but it was absent. Even with the JDM Metanium 100 release, I feel that whole lineup might get a revamp. Just got a Curado 200 release, and i assume the 150MGL/70MGL wi...

Re: Supercharging Tow Vehicle

Good Day. I decided to take a risk or live out a dream depending on how you look at it. I recently purchased a supercharger for my truck and its yet to arrive how ever after the dyno and all that the truck will still be my daily driver on occassions. If you have a supercharger on your truck how is ...

Re: Compact Spinnerbaits for smallies

Since my last post, I have done great with the Jackall Deraspin in 3/8. It is a smaller profile, but only also has 1 blade, so the 3/8 version can run fairly deep. They also have a 1/4 version and a lot of good colors.

Re: Chatterbait Weight vs Application

See I was fishing chatterbaits more like a reverse crank, slowing retrieve to get deeper. Never fished them at the bottom though, will for sure try some heavier ones this weekend.

Chatterbait Weight vs Application

Recently been fishing more and more chatterbaits, mainly the 3/8 MiniMax and 3/8 Jackhammer. I fish a clear river system, and honestly the bait doesn't do best. It slays during aggressive times and brings bigger fish, but not year round numbers for me. So my question is about the chatterbait/bladed ...

Re: Non-Typical Drop shot

Most of the time when I’m dropshotting it’s in clear water But recently I have taken it upon myself to do it everywhere I’d used a texas rig. Do you only drill use a drop shot in clear water? I do the same as you on my local river, drag dropshots all over. Issue I have is snags. For rocky sandbars,...

Re: Any Good Newer Topwater Lures?

Not sure just how old this one is, but I had a fair summer on the Duo Popper 64. Just a smaller popper that seemed to get a ton of attention. I know the next one is off topic and a cheaper, also older option, but the newest Whopper Plopper 60 caught me flat out more topwater fish than any other lure...

Re: Shimano SLX BFS thoughts

It looks to share the same body as the Scorpion/Curado BFS. Pictures match up perfect, but you can see differences in the spools; the SLX doesn't have as many holes so it isn't quite as light as the Curado/Scorpion BFS spool. As far as bearings go, the SLX does have X-ship, so it has 2 pinion, 2 spo...

Re: Any Panfish Enthusiast On TackleTour?

Been working the laydowns along the Mississppi River with my Alde 22 and carbon rod from Jackson (that I can't spell). Hobie thanks for the review, the rod is electric with 4# flouro. The perch came on weed edges. There's a Wisconsin 15 crappie limit and one big gill in the live-well from yesterday...

Re: Was Braided Line a Game Changer for You?

For spinning setups, braid was a major improvement for me. Started using 7lb and 8lb straight fluorocarbons, and dealt with a lot of management issues. Switched to light braids and it increased sensitivity, improved management, increased casting distances, allowed lighter lures to go further, etc. I...

Re: Daiwa Alphas Air TW line

I have not used it on a casting reel, but so far I have enjoyed Berkley X9 (6lb Flame Green). I have also extensively used Sufix Nanobraid in 6lb and it has been great too. I did run Sufix 832 8lb on a BFS setup for a while and it was okay as far as toughness goes, just had some digging in and manag...
