I'm in the minority here, but I'm not a fan of purple on a reel myself. I do like a few, though, like the limited edition Zillion SV TW in the 8:1 ratio.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Now is probably not a good time to let you know I put purple in a reel you sold me.

Daiwa purple is kind of a minority. Hedgehog deep purple is closest, but unfortunately Daiwa purple sits between royal and deep.

No worries! I got kind of burned out on ALL the colors and started going stealth with a monochromatic theme. Don't get me wrong, I still think all the blingy parts look cool, but just kind of got past doing that on my reels.

1st fish on the new purple rod. That 72 H Hyuga has got some power!
Nice work and pic! I'm going to see if I can wrangle one on my 72M tommorow.

I like that Molix jig you have, I have really done well on their Molix Racing jigheads with tiny swimbaits. The ones I have are 3/16 but cast fine with an SV reel and 10-12lb fluoro on a Medium or MH rod. Bought some Gene Larew micro Hula Grubs to go on the Molix heads and have caught every species I can imagine on them. I would assume the hook is a number 1 or 1/0.

That shoreluck looks sick. I have been curious bout those rods for a while but I don't do egg beaters. Is this a rod type MB still does or was it a limited thing only?

That Ray's Long Cast spool for that platform is deeper than I would have thought. Even the bait is down with the purple.

Good luckand report back! I intend to wrangle a few more on the 72H from the bank tomorrow if I have time. I would like to test the versatility of the rod but the local state ponds are choked with coon tail, moss and duck weed limiting the rod to frog use
